The Fattoria di Lamole is a historic winery that in the 1900s contributed to enhancing and making enthusiasts aware of the extraordinary peculiarities of the micro terroir of Lamole in Greve in Chianti. Founded way back in 1870 by the notary Giovanni Socci and achieved success first under the guidance of his son Carlo, among the founders in 1924 of the Chianti Classico Consortium, and then under that of Giorgio, who led the family business to be awarded in 1956 as the best large specialized company in Tuscany. Since the early 2000s it has been managed by Paolo Socci, Giorgio's son, who managed to recover the ancient family vineyards, which were greatly reduced after the abolition of sharecropping during the 1970s.

We are located at 600 meters above sea level, on a natural terrace along the slopes of Mount San Michele. The remaining 16 hectares of vineyards are surrounded by approximately 200 hectares of forest and pastures, intended for sheep breeding. Thanks to an important restoration work, the vineyards are still arranged on terraces, divided by stone walls for a total length of 7 kilometres, just like in the past. Some hectares of ungrafted Sangioveto grown according to the ancient Lamole sapling system, planted starting in the 1920s, are still preserved.
