The origins of the Loriot family in Champagne date back to the end of the 19th century with Léopold, saxophonist of the Festigny band and the first winemaker to install a press in the village. The generations followed one another until Michel Loriot, who inherited the family business in 1977 and began to apply his ideas and philosophy: Michel is in fact a great music lover and believes that it can influence the vineyards and wines; for this reason, the notes of the great classics of Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms, Magler and Vivaldi resonate in the vineyards and in the cellars, and thanks to this peculiarity Michel has been defined as the "music-loving winemaker". The 7 hectares of the company are mainly cultivated with Meunier, the grape variety of choice in Festigny, in the Vallée de la Marne, and the company philosophy is based on respect for the environment and the protection of biodiversity. Concentration is one of the trademarks of Apollonis Champagnes which, like the melodies on which they are born, stand out for their harmony and class.
