The Pira Luigi winery represents an important winery in Serralunga d'Alba involved at a family level in the creation of traditional Barolos. Since the end of the 19th century, the Pira family has been linked to the Serralunga area and in the 1950s Luigi Pira directed the estate towards the exclusive wine-growing activity by selling grapes and bulk wine to the large wineries in the area.
Since the 1990s, with the entry of Gianpaolo, Luigi's son, into the estate, the winery became even more oriented towards quality, also thanks to the introduction of cutting-edge machinery and techniques, always with the utmost respect for tradition.
The 12 hectares of vineyards cultivated by the Luigi Pira estate are dedicated to the traditional black grape varieties Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto.
