The Marengo family has been making wine in La Morra for four generations, since the company was founded in 1899. An important role was played by Mario, father of the current owner Marco, who dedicated himself with devotion to the activity of a small producer of wines.
Today Marco is respected and praised as one of the most talented, calm and rigorous wine men of La Morra, thanks to the vigneron genes inherent in his father's DNA and in that of the previous generations who founded this wine reality on the threshold of the twentieth century. In the heart of La Morra, with a total of 7 hectares of vineyard located in the best crus of the area.
The Mario Marengo winery is fortunate to enjoy its own vineyards in the municipality of La Morra with optimal exposures, especially in Brunate and Bricco delle Viole, at 350 meters above sea level, mostly facing south. Furthermore, Eugenia Battaglino, wife of Marco, became part of the Marengo family, bringing with her her Roero vineyards from Valmaggiore, one of the most suitable plots of Roero, which enjoy excellent sunshine throughout the day.
