From a now twenty-year friendship, this new wine project was born, capable of renewing the relationship between Luca, Alberto and Marco.

 

The idea to giving birth to a wine, that would bring a new gustatory experience to Calosso, took shape in the choice of this splendid variety: 

the Pinot Noir.

 

Thanks to the vineyard ("la Maddalena") managed in anticipation of a future vinification in red by Marco Mocco, together with the experience gained

in the area first of Burgundy, and then in the family cellar by  Alberto Soria, 

the birth of this wine has become reality.

 

With the economic-commercial skills, developed in the years at "Il Quadrifoglio" by Luca Moizo, now the project is ready to take off!

“The Harvest”

Started on September 1, 2021, after a light morning rain, the harvest ended before sunset of the same day. Although the vineyard was very young, and the production was still low, the high selection of the grapes was essential for the production of this wine.

“The Fermentation”

By adopting special precautions to avoid the use of sulphites, fermentation began immediately after pressing. Duration about 7 days, with daily pumping over and punching down.

"Bottling and Labelling"

1800 bottles bottled on December 21st, again in the Livio Soria cellar.
A very low quantity of sulfur was used during the entire winemaking process, well below the BIO standards.
On the label we find, in stylized form, the 3 faces of the guys who made this project a reality.
A wine that fills them with pride and that is worth trying!

“The Vineyard”
Vineyard in its first year of production, it is located in the hills of Calosso, facing east. The management of the vines and the soil took place in anticipation of the production of red grapes.

“The Pressing” 
After the harvest, the pressing was carried out immediately. Occurring in Livio Soria's cellar, it also ended on the same night.

"The Aging"

Started in October, it ended after about 13 months. Aging took place in 6 different first, second and third passage Barriques.
