Alta Langa DOCG is Piedmont's premier Traditional Method sparkling wine. Always produced as a vintage wine (millesimato), it originates from high-altitude vineyards across the provinces of Cuneo, Asti and Alessandria using Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. A unique rule of Alta Langa DOCG is that every bottle must state its harvest vintage (millesimato). Furthermore, regulations enforce extended lees ageing in the bottle: a minimum of 30 months for standard releases and 36 months for Riserva designations.
Vineyards are strictly located above 250 meters altitude on calcareous-marley soils. Significant day-night temperature swings allow Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to retain high acidity and vibrant minerality, creating wines built for longevity.
Alta Langa presents fine persistent perlage, straw yellow nuances with gold highlights, and rich aromas of toasted hazelnut, brioche, citrus and white flowers. Creamy and dry on the palate, it pairs exquisitely with seafood starters, beef tartar, risottos, shellfish and regional cheeses.

It is a vintage Traditional Method sparkling wine from Piedmont, aged on its lees in the bottle for at least 30 months using Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes.
Alta Langa is from Piedmont and is strictly vintage-dated (minimum 30 months lees ageing), whereas Franciacorta comes from Lombardy and offers non-vintage options starting at 18 months of lees ageing.
Alta Langa is crafted from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes (minimum 90% combined), used as single varietals or blends.
