The Alta Langa strict rule: exclusively Vintage wines

A unique rule of Alta Langa DOCG is that every bottle must state its harvest vintage (millesimato). Furthermore, regulations enforce extended lees ageing in the bottle: a minimum of 30 months for standard releases and 36 months for Riserva designations.

High altitude Terroir

Vineyards are strictly located above 250 meters altitude on calcareous-marley soils. Significant day-night temperature swings allow Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to retain high acidity and vibrant minerality, creating wines built for longevity.
