It was his studies in the field of oenology - and the fortuitous event of a small family vineyard suddenly free, in Bussia in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba - that led him, already at sixteen, to make his first attempts. The pandemic period suddenly gave him the time to experiment and be among the rows, listening to school lessons on headphones while he carried out work in the vineyard. 2020 was the year of the first harvest: the row was now the open-air laboratory where Orlando could put his oenological studies into practice.
