List of products by brand Castellare di Castellina

Located in Castellina in Chianti, in the heart of Chianti Classico, the renowned Castellare di Castellina winery has played an active role in the so-called "Renaissance of Italian Wine" since its inception.
The winery was founded in 1979 by Paolo Panerai, who merged the Castellare, Caselle, San Niccolò, and Le Case estates. He combined this traditional approach with the introduction of barrique aging, following the advice of renowned oenologist Emile Peynaud, recognized as the father of modern oenology in Bordeaux.

Of the estate's 80 hectares, 33 are dedicated to viticulture and 20 to olive growing. In addition to Sangiovese, locally known as Sangioveto, the winery's grape varieties include the native Canaiolo, Colorino, Malvasia Nera, Ciliegiolo, Trebbiano Toscano, and Malvasia del Chianti, as well as the international varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.

'I Sodi di San Niccolò' is undoubtedly the most prized and iconic bottle, the one that has propelled the winery to the pinnacle of Tuscan winemaking, making it famous both nationally and internationally. It is an expression of Sangiovese, with the addition of a small percentage of Malvasia Nera, revealing the terroir's most refined character.
