It was in the late 1950s that Roger Picard, mayor of Berru in the Champagne-Ardenne region, planted his first vines on land that had only recently been granted the “Champagne” appellation.

In the early 1960s, his son Jacques Picard began to take an interest in the family estate and started producing the first Champagnes marketed under his own name.

During the 1970s, the Maison began managing every stage of Champagne production in-house, from planting the vines to selling the finished wines, all within the same family estate.

In the 1990s, Jacques’ two daughters, Sylvie and Corinne, took over the running of the estate with the support of their husbands.
